The Secretary of State is committed to promoting friendship and cooperation between Xaymaca and other countries around the world, through political and diplomatic channels; providing effective representation of the :Nyan-ko-pong: Sovereign Maroon Government of Xaymaca overseas through resident diplomatic missions and consular posts and creating opportunities for foreign trade, investment and tourism. This is the first cabinet department created under the :Nyan-ko-pong: Sovereign Maroon system of government that was adopted in 2018.

The Secretary of State sits at the head of the Department of State,

- Implementation of Xaymaca Foreign Policy

- Management of Xaymaca International Relations

- Promotion of Xaymaca Interests overseas

- The Ministry is also focused on protecting the interests of Jamaican nationals overseas, returning residents and visitors to Xaymaca.

 - Leads the Xaymaca countrys' foreign policy under the direction of his Excellency the Maroon Emperor.

- The Secretary of State is a member of the :Nyan-ko-pong: Sovereign Maroon cabinet who manages foreign relations on behalf of the government.

- Acts as Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade
