Dr. Bryan has over eleven years' experience as a medical
doctor with special interests in Chronic Disease, Women's
Health, Sexual Health, Mental Health Geriatrics, Academic
General Practice and Counselling. She is no stranger to hard
work and dedication to a cause while pushing the boundaries
of the status quo.
She is an unapologetic entrepreneur, philanthropist
extraordinaire and lifelong women's rights advocate
constantly doing as much as she can to empower and uplift
everyone she encounters. Her mandate is to leave everyone
she meets better than how she found them. She is currently a
General Practitioner, Director/CEO of over 5 companies,
world traveler, speaker, designer and thought leader; her
trove of accomplishments is as big as her heart.
Dr. Bryan has achieved almost all the goals on her lifelong
checklist at an early age. Opting not to follow the hegemonic
discourses of society by charting her own path, she is turning
her passion for love, kindness, and compassion into a
munificent venture that would make Jamaica a better place.
As such, she started The Life, Love & Butterflies Foundation;
a foundation aiming to become a beacon of hope for those
unable to pay for emergency surgical intervention or postsurgical care. She is a staunch believer of the notion that we
are all victims of circumstance, and as such, as equals, it is
our social responsibility to make life easier for those unable to
help themselves.
She resides both in the United States and Jamaica, is an avid
tennis player, and enjoys surfing, archery, bike riding, car
racing and chess. She also has an untenable love for the
theatre and enjoys acting and singing whenever the
opportunity presents itself. Shernet's love for animals,
humans, and the planet is palpable. She also offers free
Sunday meals to homeless individuals in her community, and
hosts annual Christmas treats at the Bethlehem Children's
Home and Homestead Place of Safety well as other homes
where the children get free haircuts, gifts, medications and a
seven-course Christmas meal personally prepared by her.
Through her empire, Dr. Bryan is bringing her sense of
purpose and altruism to the rest of the world.
