Romario Garvey was born and raised in Rose Town, Kingston, within the Maroon
territory of Ashanti Town. From an early age, he developed a strong sense of cultural
identity and leadership. After completing his primary and secondary education, he
pursued a Bachelor of Science in Tourism & Hospitality Management at the University of
the West Indies, while gaining valuable experience at the Ministry of National Security &
Justice.
His career later transitioned into aviation, where he worked with Air Jamaica before
beginning Private Pilot's training at Tinson Pen Aerodrome. This passion led him to the
United States, where he successfully obtained Commercial Pilot Training and a Master's
in Aviation Management.
Beyond aviation, Garvey has served on multiple executive boards and committees,
making significant contributions to governance, economic development, and cultural
preservation. His unwavering dedication to the Maroon nation led to his appointment as
Global High Chief, and he now proudly serves as the Global Paramount Chief of the
Nyan-ko-Pong Sovereign Maroon Government.
With a lifelong commitment to leadership, sovereignty, and the advancement of his
people, Garvey continues to work towards strengthening the global presence of the
Maroon nation and securing a prosperous future for its people.
