Dilio Mena is the
founding President and Chief Executive Officer of Milestone
Hospitality Management LTD, incorporated in 2022, based in Runaway
Bay, St. Ann, Jamaica with subsidiaries in Punta Cana, Dominican
Republic under Boutique Hotels International, incorporated in 2017
and Holiday Haven Resorts LLC, incorporated in 2022, based in Miami,
Florida, USA. He is also the founding President and Chief Executive
Officer of Jamaica Tax, Accounting and Business Advisors
incorporated in 2014 to provide hospitality financial consulting and
tax services to hotel owners and hotel developers in Jamaica,
Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico to achieve tangible results. He
graduated with honors from the Inter-American University of Puerto
Rico with a BBA in Business Administration with a major in
Accounting and a BS with a major in Computer Science. He also
graduated with distinctions from the University of Phoenix, Arizona,
USA with an MBA in Business Administration with a major in
accounting. and on leadership from the John Maxwell Co. and Talent
Plus. He is pursuing a Doctoral degree in Finance. He is overseeing
the development of a 3,575 all - inclusive resorts' complex in Punta Cana and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and a theme park. Dilio is
pursuing business interests in Jamaica to develop a 5,000 rooms
resort complex. He has business interests in the USA, the
Dominican Republic and Jamaica. He also owns two Hospitality
Management Companies, and online businesses including, 200 domains,
several Online Travel Agencies, Tours Operator Companies and several
vacation clubs.
He started his career, in
the hotel business and information technology, at the iconic Caribe
Hilton Resort (700 rooms) in Puerto Rico and has spent 30 years
working at the single unit and multi property levels for the most
prestigious hotel management companies in the USA, the Caribbean and
Mexico, holding senior finance positions from Corporate Accountant,
Financial Controller, Regional Director of Finance, Country Director
of Finance to CFO. These organizations include Hilton Hotels &
Resorts, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Melia Hotels & Resorts, Rosewood
Hotels & Resorts, Rock Resorts International, Hyatt Hotels &
Resorts, Miami Eden Rock & Nobu Hotels, Sonesta International and
Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts.
His main role as a Senior
Finance Officer in properties from 100 to 1,500 rooms has been
planning and implementing systems and procedures, managing and
controlling all financial-related activities of hotels and resorts.
Additionally, he has provided leadership and financial direction to
the finance and management teams. He specializes in long term
financial planning, asset management, international taxation,
transfer pricing, cybercrime prevention, digital marketing and
leadership development. He has been instrumental in the opening
of several landmark hotels and resorts in the Caribbean and the USA
including El Conquistador Resort & Country Club, Puerto Rio (1,000
rooms), The Ritz-Carlton San Juan, Puerto Rico (414 rooms), Tempo
Miami (a 700 rooms condo-hotel operation), Paradisus Puerto Rico (a
500 rooms golf resort) and Royal Sonesta San Juan, Puerto Rico (400
rooms).
He has a universal
citizen vision and is a multi-cultural global leader, fluent in
several languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian and.
He is very passionate about the hotel business, finance, information
technology, science and supporting minorities to prosper personally,
financially and professionally.
